So we did it: we survived the year that was 2016. And all-in-all, if we're honest, it wasn't all that bad. At least it not for me, personally. Yes, we lost a lot of beloved celebrities ( 😔 ) and we lost our conscience as a nation ( 😬 ), but I still find that there was much for me to be thankful for in 2016.
- I began volunteering/working at Life Crisis Services: which has been both challenging, rewarding, and formative.
- I made my first trip out to Denver, where I saw Sufjan Stevens play for the first time, at Red Rocks of all places.
- And I met Kristyn, who has been a lovely addition to my life.
When I look back at 2016, I see a lot of personal growth and I'm proud of that. I'm proud of many things that I did and became, and I hope to see that progress continue in 2017.
