I just got back from a 5-day vacation in Denver, CO and the surrounding area; it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
While I am someone who sometimes struggles to feel awe at the world, hiking at 10.2k feet in elevation in the mountains had my jaw on the ground the entire way. Just when I thought I'd seen enough, we'd come around another corner and I'd be at a loss for words yet again. It's just spectacular to see these sights and formations, knowing they've been around for ages; changed by the elements of time.
I've been jonesing for the sights and sounds of the mountains since I got back to Missouri, yesterday, but thankfully NPR just put out this 360/VR experience about Rocky Mountain National Park. It's not a total fix but it's the next best thing.
